Some of the most challenging situations are how to manage situations where teeth have been lost or missing in the anterior region of the maxilla. This is a region where esthetical and biological considerations are extremely important, and compromises should be avoided.
The various alternatives when treating a patient with tooth loss in the anterior region must always be related to the growth status of the individual patient and the aim of this year’s symposium is to present strategies for the choice of treatment in each individual situation. The importance of timing and an inter-disciplinary approach to these cases will be emphasized.

Different treatment alternatives such as prosthetic treatment with resin bonded bridges, orthodontic space closure or autotransplantation of another tooth to the anterior region are considered. Implant treatment is contraindicated in the young still growing patient because it interferes with growth of the alveolar process.

Tooth Replacement in the Esthetic Zone (maxillary anterior region)

Thu Oct 3rd to Sat Oct 5th – Symposium:

It is a challenging situation when teeth have been lost or missing in the anterior region of the maxilla. Implant treatment is contraindicated in the young still growing patient because it interferes with growth of the alveolar process. Patients continue to grow for much longer time than earlier expected. So, we must be able to assess and plan for when and if implants can be placed after growth has been completed. There is a growing interest for autotransplantation in situations like this.

Let’s delve into this innovative solution for improved dental care in younger individuals at the Copenhagen Symposium 2024.

We have invited some of the best researchers and clinicians in different specialties to give you a complete overview of the different treatment alternatives for the anterior region of the maxilla.
