Dr. Mitsuhiro Tsukiboshi, DDS, PhD
Dr. Tsukiboshi has been a general practitioner for more than 40 years in Aichi, Japan. Dr. Tsukiboshi’s interest in dental traumatology and autotransplantation has led to extensive clinical involvement, course presentations and publications. Dr. Tsukiboshi has lectured extensively on dental trauma and autotransplantation in more than 45 countries; he has authored many articles and two textbooks, one on dental trauma and one on autotransplantation. The books have been published in twelve languages, including English. Dr. Tsukiboshi is the President of the International Association of Dental Traumatology in 2009 and 2010. Dr. Tsukiboshi was rewarded with ‘Jens Ove Andreasen Lifetime Achievement Award in dental Traumatology’ in 2018.

Prof. Simon Storgård Jensen, DDS
Graduated as DDS from the School of Dentistry, University of Copenhagen 1996, certified specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2004. From 2001 until 2014 part-time research fellow at the Dept. of Oral Surgery and Stomatology, School of Dental Medicine, University of Bern, Switzerland. Since 2005 consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Copenhagen University Hospital, where he is Head of the division treating patients with congenital missing teeth and early trauma related tooth loss. From 2019 professor at the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dental Medicine, University of Copenhagen.
Former vice president of the Danish Association for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Main research and focus areas are: Implant dentistry, experimental evaluation and clinical performance of bone grafting materials, bone augmentation procedures, bone growth factors and surgical endodontics.

Dr. Ewa Czochrowska, DDS, PhD
Graduated as a dentist from the Dental Faculty in Warsaw, Poland. She finished a postgraduate training in orthodontics at the University in Oslo, Norway in 1997 then worked as a Research Fellow at the Orthodontic Department, Dental Faculty in Oslo until 2002. In 2003 she was awarded a PhD from the University in Oslo for a thesis on autotransplantation of teeth. For the publication from this work she received the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Dewel Orthodontic Award in 2002. In 2014 she was awarded a habilitation in medical science from the Medical University in Warsaw on her work related to orthodontic treatment of patients with periodontitis.
Dr. Czochrowska was the President of the European Orthodontic Society and she host the EOS Congress in 2014 in Warsaw. She is the President of the Polish Orthodontic Society and the Active Member of the Angle Society of Europe and the European Board of Orthodontists. She has organized 2 international congresses on tooth transplantation in 2016 and 2018. Received Distinguish Teacher Award from the European Orthodontic Society for 2020. At present in private practice in Warsaw and is working at the Department of Orthodontics, Medical University in Warsaw, Poland.
Dr. Czochrowska has authored and coauthored 10 book chapters and 50 scientific articles. She has lectured extensively worldwide on tooth transplantation and orthodontic treatment in patients with periodontal diseases.

Dr. Marco Rosa
MD, DDS, D.Orthod
Marco Rosa graduated as Medical Doctor in 1981, then carried out postgraduate studies first in Dentistry, then in Orthodontics.
Former President and Active Member of the Angle Society of Europe, he is both the European Board and the Italian Board of Orthodontics certified.
Honorary Member of the Italian Academy of Orthodontists. Past President of the Association of Italian Specialists in Orthodontics
He works in private practice, limited to Orthodontics, in Trento, Northern Italy and he is visiting professor in many Universities in Italy and abroad.
His primary areas of interest are “Early Treatment: key points and new procedures”, “Space Closure in case of Upper Missing Incisors”, “Ortho-Perio” and “Interdisciplinary Treatment”. He published and regularly lectures internationally about these topics.
Winner of 2017 Dewel Award / Best Clinical Research of the year published on Am J Orthod Denofac Orthop in 2016.
Winner of 2015 Work Federation Orthodontists / Best Clinical Article Award.

Prof. Mattias Kern,
Prof. Dr. med. dent. Habil., FADM
Dental studies in Freiburg from 1980 to 1985, completed PhD in 1987, worked in the prosthodontics department of the dental clinic in Freiburg from 1985 to 1991 and 1994 to 1997. Conducted research funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, USA, from 1991 to 1993. Achieved habilitation in 1995.
Appointed as director of the Department of Dental Prosthetics, Propaedeutics, and Materials Science at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel in 1997. Became chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (SHGZMK) in 2004.
Served as vice president of the German Society of Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials (DGPro) from 2008 to 2012, and as president of the DGPro from 2012 to 2016.
In December 2011, became the first German scientist to receive the Schweitzer Research Award from the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP). Research interests include adhesive prosthodontics, all-ceramic restorations, implantology, and materials science.
In 2020 Dr. Kern received the IADR Distinguished Scientist Award for Research in Prosthodontics and Implants. Dr. Kern serves in the Editorial Board of more than 10 peer-reviewed scientific journals and has published more than 500 scientific articles. In 2017 his book “RBFDPs – Resin Bonded Fixed Dental Prostheses – minimally invasive – esthetic – reliable“ has been published by Quintessence.

Dr. Nicole Winitsky, DDS, PhD
Dr. Nicole Winitsky is a senior prosthodontic consultant at Folktandvården Eastman Dental Institute a researcher at the Faculty of Odontology, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden. She received her DDS from the Karolinska Institute in 1997, was Board Certified as a specialist in Prosthodontics in 2012 and achieved her PhD in 2023.
Her clinical focus is prosthodontics and implantology in children and young adults with hereditary dental defects or traumas. Her research “Implants in the anterior maxilla” has been rewarded with “the Gold prize for best prosthodontic research” by the Swedish Prosthodontic association and twice with “the EAO Prize for clinical research in Implant Dentistry” by the European association for Osseointegration.
She works on a regular basis with lecturing and giving courses nationally and internationally.
She is the founder and host of the Odontological podcast “Blodad tand”. She is the president of the female network, Professionals in Dentistry Esthetic Group (PiD EG), a board member of the Communication committee in the European association of Osseointegration (EAO) and a fellow of the Foundation of Oral Rehabilitation (FOR). “

Dr. Dick Barendregt, DDS, MSc, PhD
Dr. Dick Barendregt finished dental school in 1988 at the Rijksuniversiteit van Groningen. He worked as a dentist in the Royal Dutch Navy in several private practices for a period of 5 years. In 1991 he started his Master of Science training in periodontology at the University of Amsterdam. After finishing his training in 1994 he worked as a periodontist in 2 referral clinics restricted to periodontology.
In 1996 he founded his own clinic in Rotterdam. In his clinic, he works as a specialist in periodontology and implantology. For the last 20 years, the emphasis on inpatient treatment has been on interdisciplinary planning (Proclin Rotterdam) together with endodontists, orthodontists, prosthetic dentists, dental technicians, and oral surgeons.
From 1995 to 2001 Dick Barendregt was on the board of the Dutch Society of Periodontology (NVvP) as treasurer. Since 2017 he is chairman of the Advisory Board of the Dutch Institute on Guidelines in Dentistry. Dick Barendregt received November 4th, 2009 his Ph.D. degree on his thesis “Probing around teeth” and was appointed on July 1st, 2019 as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Periodontology, Adams School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina. Prof. Christer Dahlin, DDS, PhD, Dr Odont
Dr. Christer Dahlin is a Professor in Guided Tissue Regeneration and Oral Surgery at Department of Biomaterials, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He is also a senior consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at NÄL Medical Center Hospital, Trollhättan, Sweden. Recently, he was appointed as adjunct Clinical Professor at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA. He is a former Research Fellow at University of Florida.
In addition, he has also served as founding program director in Oral Implantology at European University, UAE. He is currently a member of the executive board for the Osteology Foundation and also member of editorial boards for several journals in the dental and biomaterials field.
Professor Dahlin has over twenty-five years of experience in implant treatment and related research and is considered one of the pioneers in the development of the concept of Guided Bone Regeneration. He is education board director for the Swedish Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has published numerous articles and textbooks on these topics. He frequently travels worldwide to lecture, conduct research and teach on this and other implant-related topics.

Prof. Peter Day,
PhD, FDS Paeds RCS Eng, FRCD Canada, PGCLTHE, BDS, MFDS RCS Eng, MDentSci, M Paed Dent RCS Eng
Dr. Peter Day qualified from Bristol in 1997. He then spent two years in general practice and hospital dentistry in Newcastle and a further year in Bolton in oral and maxillofacial surgery. In 2000, he started his specialist and academic training in Leeds. His PhD was in the field of dental trauma. In 2009 he spent a six months sabbatical working at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
In 2010, he was appointed to a joint academic appointment with University of Leeds and Bradford salaried dental services as a Lecturer and Consultant in paediatric dentistry.

Prof. Pawel Plakwicz,
PhD, DDS, MFDSRCS (Eng)
Dr. Plakwicz graduated from the Dental Faculty, Medical University of Warsaw in 1994 and was an assistant lecturer at the Department of Oral Surgery and since 2009 he has worked at the same university. He completed postgraduate training in autotransplantation of teeth at the University of Oslo, Norway in 2000. Since then he performed and followed more than 380 of autotransplantated teeth. In 2009 defended his PhD thesis: “Autotransplantation of teeth in growing patients”.
His main research interests are in the treatment of growing patients with missing teeth or with eruption disturbances, teeth autotransplantation and mucogingival surgery.
He authored and co-authored over 50 scientific articles. He is a co-author of Principles and Techniques of Premolar Auto-transplantation in a book published in 2016 by Wiley Blackwell: Recognizing and Correcting Developing Malocclusions: A Problem Oriented Approaches in Orthodontics.

Dr. Martin Janda, PhD
Dr. Martin Janda graduated as a dentist from the University of Malmo in Sweden in 1999. He subsequently completed a PhD in the same institution in 2005, whereby he studied different aspects of dental information techno- logy. During this time he developed many continuous professional development courses and programs for dentists. For this work he was awarded the Educational Research Group Award by the International Association for Dental Research.
Following completion of the PhD, Martin specialized in prosthodontics and shifted his research interest to prosthodontics and implant complications.
Martin works part time in a private practice. He also holds the position as Associate Professor at the Dental faculty, Malmö University.
Martin finished his second textbook, this time on Dental Implants, a handbook on how to prevent, diagnose and handle complications.
Dr. Janda is honored with the Educational Research Group Award from the International Association for Dental Research and the prize as the best lecturer issued by the Swedish dental association (SDA).

Dr. Ole Schwartz,
DDS, Ph.D. Oral- and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Ole Schwartz graduated from Royal Dental College, Copenhagen, Denmark in 1972, and defended his PhD thesis: “Immunological and Clinical Aspects of Allotransplantation of Teeth in Humans” in 1979. In 1983 Schwartz received his certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Copenhagen University, Denmark. He has been Research Associate at University of California 1980, Senior Research Associate and since 1984 Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Copenhagen. He was consultant 1984-2017, and during the years 2000-2011 he was Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the University Hospital of Copenhagen (Rigshospitalet), Schwartz has authored 76 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, and several chapters in scientific textbooks. His main research focus has been on tooth transplantation and maxillofacial rehabilitation including bone grafting and implantology.

Dr. Yousra Akhlef, DDS
Dr. Akhlef graduated as DDS from the School of Dentistry, University of Copenhagen in 2015, and has ever since been engaged in research in the Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet. She is currently a maxillofacial surgery resident at the Zealand University hospital. She has also worked as a teacher at the School for Oral Health Care at the Copenhagen University in subjects ad dental surgery here included autotransplantation of teeth.
Her main scientific work has been concerning autotransplantation of premolars to the anterior maxilla with focus on survival rate, aesthetic outcome and the patient-reported outcome.
She published in 2017 the first systematic review about autotransplanted teeth to the anterior maxilla.
In 2016 she presented some of her work at the IADT congress in Brisbane, Australia and won the price for Best Oral Presentation.

Dr. Anna Louropoulou, PhD
Anna Louropoulou graduated in 2002 from the Dental School of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2004, she started her postgraduate training in Periodontology in the Academic Center for Dentistry in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from where she graduated with “cum laude” in 2007. In 2017 Anna acquired her PhD from the University of Amsterdam. Her research was about prevention and management of peri-implant diseases and more specifically the instruments that can be used to clean contaminated implant surfaces.
Nowadays Anna divides her time between the private practice where she practices Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and giving lectures and clinical training to dental care professionals regarding the treatment of peri-implantitis. She works in a interdisciplinary setting with orthodontists, endodontists and prosthodontists, focusing on the treatment of complex cases among which the oral rehabilitation of children and young adolescents after trauma.

Dr. Ivo Marek, PhD
Dr. Ivo Marek, PhD, graduated with a degree in Dentistry from the Faculty of Medicine at Palacky University in Olomouc in 1990. He completed a three-year training program for Orthodontics in 1999 and finished his postgraduate study of Orthodontics at the Orthodontic Department of Dental School at Palacky University in Olomouc in 2007, where he earned his PhD. Dr. Marek runs his Private Dental Clinic in Breclav, where he focuses on interdisciplinary dental care, tooth autotranplantation and collaboration of orthodontists with periodontists and implantologists.
Dr. Marek works as an Assistent Professor at the Orthodontic Department of Dental School, Palacky University, in Olomouc, in both graduate and postgraduate study programs. In addition, he is a part-time teacher at Charles University’s Faculty of Medicine, in Prague. He has published more than 65 articles and has given over 250 lectures around the world.
Dr. Marek is President of the Czech Orthodontic Society, member of the European Orthodontic Society, the American Associon of Orthodontists, the World Orthodontic Society and European Aligner Society. He is Honorary Member of the Implantology Club of Czech Republic and Polish Orthodontic Society. Furthermore, he is a member of the editorial board of the journal “Ortodoncie” (Orthodontics) and reviewer of the journal “Ortodoncie” and The Angle Orthodontist, European Journal of Orthodontics and Journal of Aligner Orthodontics. He is member of the accreditation committee of the Ministry of Healthcare and a representative of the Czech Orthodontic Society in EFOSA, as well as an AAO international ambassador since 2016. He was member of Council of European Orthodontic Society 2016-2022 and Council of EFOSA 2017-2023

Dr. Lars Pallesen,
DDS, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Pallesen is a dedicated clinician and educator. DDS and former research associate at University of Copenhagen. Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon subsequently specialized in implant dentistry. Currently consultant at University of Copenhagen, consulting implant surgeon at the division for congenital missing teeth and early trauma related tooth loss, Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet), and Chief Dentist at Copenhagen Clinic (private practice). Besides extensive clinical experience he lectures widely and is involved in clinical research and scientific publications. Recently co-author of the textbook Sport Injuries to the chapter of Dental and Facial Traumatology (Idrætsskadebogen, 2023, 2. ed., Ch. 17, 266 – 277. FADL´s forlag).
Former Board member of the Danish Association for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Main research and focus areas are: Esthetic and functional oral rehabilitation, interdisciplinary treatment approach, bone biology, oral inflammation and systemic impact, pain research.
